Crystal had a beautiful buckskin leopard Araloosa colt by Arabian Stallion Khemo Khody  on 27 May 2010.  He should mature in the 14.2 to 15hh range. 

Crystal's pedigree includes the Appaloosa speed legend Gold Strikes Equal.  Of note also, is Tumbleweed Devil who sired Merry Weedo (ApHC HOF Mare).  Crystal is also triple Mighty Bright (by Bright Eyes Brother) and is 2x Mighty Paul and contains Prince Plaudit, Wiggy Bar, Doc Bar, and King within 5 generations.  We plan to train her as an all around performance horse. 

Though Crystal has quite the bulldog build that makes her suitable for the western performance divisions, she also has very fluid gaits with plenty of extension that is also suitable for sport horse disciplines. 

Crystal carries two copies of the Cream gene though we are not sure if she is Cremello, Smokey cream, or Perlino because her mane and tail are neither white nor orange tinted.  She has had a palomino filly out of a bay stallion indicating that she at least carries one red gene. 

Foals by Crystal will be 100% Palomino, Buckskin, or Smokey Black w/ 50% chance of being Appaloosa characteristic when crossed with non-dilute/non-appaloosa stallions.  In other words, we could get a buckskin half-arabian with a spotted blanket or a solid buckskin.  
 
   Khemo Khody is a two time National Top Ten Working Cowhorse and multiple Regional Working Cowhorse Champion.  He is sired by the multi-National Working Cowhorse Champion Khemonada (by Khemosabi).  This will be one dilute araloosa with lots of pizazz, bred to perform.  The foal will be eligible for ApHC and AHA registration and will be able to show on both circuits!
